Does this sound familiar?

• You’ve been so busy with your classes, clubs, and extracurricular activities that you haven’t had a chance to spend any time doing college major or career exploration

• You don’t have a strong idea about what your interest areas or strengths are and want to get more direction and focus for your future so you can begin to explore possible college majors and career paths

• You need to learn more about your strengths and interest areas to help you decide on which colleges you should consider and to explore possible college majors that would be a good fit for you

• You’re worried about how you’ll find the right college major or the right career – what if you make a mistake? You’re not sure the process to go through to make these big decisions and feel confident about them

Like many students, you might not feel you have an idea of the types of careers you’ll want to be considering for yourself. And there often doesn’t seem like many options for how to learn how to increase your understanding of your own interests and strengths or how to put a plan together for exploration. Your parents and others likely ask you ‘what you want to be when you grow up’ but you don’t know how you’d even begin to answer that question.

I totally get it and I can help

I know what it’s like to feel lost about which direction to go in. Whether it’s your college major or what career you want to pursue – I get it. In high school, I didn’t know anything about careers except what my family members did and what I heard about in the media (yes, I’m talking about those top 10 lists of best careers).

Believe me when I promise you that high school and college planning and decision making feels SO much better when you have a plan. When you’re more confident in your strengths, abilities and interests and are able to begin to match those with career paths, you’ll gain a greater sense of direction and purpose for your high school experience and your college planning.

And though your plans will change and evolve over time, especially when you’re in high school, having a foundation to start and build from that is based on your unique superpowers will help SO much! Let me be your guide to helping you gain more direction and focus so you can begin to feel more confident about your interests and strengths and how they match to the ‘world of work’. The work we do together now will allow you to make the most of high school and better plan and prepare for college.

DEFINITELY HAVE MORE OF A DIRECTION

“I’ve learned a lot about myself and my skills and I definitely have more of a direction to go in now based on what I enjoy and what I’ll be good at.”
